Restaurant Unter Deck in Duhnen

Seldom eaten so well. The ambience is nice too. Unfortunately only problems with service. We were there at the end of June and although Corona and less traffic could have been done better. There is still a lot to be done to make it work better, hence a star deduction. But the dishes are 5 stars + we will definitely be back!

We were guests twice in the "Unter Deck" and were not disappointed. Fish, chicken and schnitzel are delicious and the portions are definitely filling. The service staff was also very friendly. We would love to come back. :)

One of the few restaurants in Duhnen that also prepare warm food a little later (9 p.m.). The portions are very large and delicious. Only the crepes for dessert could have tasted a little better. Very nice conditions. I can only recommend.

Unfortunately difficult to reach by car or to find a parking space near the restaurant. Parking garage opposite closes at 8 p.m. The staff is very nice, the location is kept simple but perfectly fine and clean. We (2 people) had the fish platter to eat "full". That was also the case. Plenty of fish and fried potatoes. The waiter tells us we can reorder if we still need something. We didn't need anything anymore - delicious and plentiful. Price / performance ratio was okay too 🍻🐟

We were in Duhnen for a week, and since this restaurant was near our holiday apartment and made a good impression at first, we tried it out. Unfortunately the biggest mistake on this vacation. After we had ordered our food, the long wait began in the cold and draughty dining room due to the corona-related opening of the entrance door. After guests who had clearly ordered after us received their food, we asked after a good 45 minutes. It was about two main courses! These were now being prepared, was the not exactly friendly answer. Then the even bigger annoyance: my wife was served the wrong main course! After the long wait, we didn't want to wait again, so my wife ate it out of necessity. As was to be expected, there was no goodwill, we also had to pay the surcharge for the more expensive wrong dish. To top it off, we were offered a schnapps on the house. It makes sense if I order alcohol-free beer for the entire evening! Once and never again, the evening was literally eaten.

The restaurant is really in a kind of basement with a bar right by the entrance. To the right of the entrance there are some seats, and if you pass the bar there are also some seats. The food there is delicious and the staff are friendly.

We were there a few days ago with 3 people (2 adults, 1 toddler). We were very satisfied with the food itself, and the choice of dishes is very varied. Why then only 2 stars? The service and the other accompanying circumstances unfortunately do not allow a higher rating. - Although we had reserved a table, we had to wait about 25 minutes until it was actually available. An apology or something similar there was no for it. - After we were allowed to sit down at the table, it took another 10 minutes to get the menus. In the meantime, the service staff walked past our table several times. - It is only possible to pay in cash, which is simply no longer appropriate in today's world. At all other restaurants in Duhnen that we went to on other days, you had the option of paying by card. - There was no proper invoice with the information required by law as evidence, only an "interim invoice". If you can only pay in cash anyway, then a proper invoice could or should have been issued. It's a shame about the good food, but because of the points mentioned, we cannot recommend the restaurant "Unter Deck".

Very good cuisine - attentive conditions - recommendable

Very tasty fish dishes, price / performance ratio fits. Service is friendly and hard-working, but still has room for improvement. Outside lighting at the tables could be improved, you just see little of what is so delicious on the plate.

Everything great. Delicious food at good prices. The service is nice, the food is lovingly prepared and the restaurant is lovingly designed. The only thing that was not so nice was that a CD with heartbreaking yowling ran continuously. But that is a matter of taste and should not be valued so highly now. (: Gladly again.

The menu attracted us to this restaurant. When we arrived we were shown into a small room with only two tables. When we were able to place the order after 15 minutes, the first disappointment arose: we no longer sell Schweppes Tonic; Black tea is all, we don't have non-alcoholic beer, only wheat! We could then order the meals without restriction. Before long, 3 people were led to the next table. Distance approx. 50 cm! When the soup was served after a long time, I made the waitress aware of the distance rule. The answer: there are a lot of guests here tonight, there is no other way. Our main course didn't come even after about 30 minutes. Due to the long waiting times and the lack of hygiene regulations (the attendance data was not recorded either) we left and will not come back.

There are many fish and meat dishes here. I've always been very satisfied with the fish dishes. In addition to the fried potatoes, the redfish also comes with a side salad, which otherwise costs 3.50 euros extra. Full of fish is also possible. Sitting outside is very good. Today there was no more alcohol-free beer or wheat. The service is very nice and attentive. The restaurant is not barrier-free, but the outside area is. The price-performance ratio is reasonable.

The service: friendly, attentive and quick. The kitchen: absolutely delicious. You should only practice with the cappuccino, it was more of a milk coffee than cappuccino (with espresso). Since that was the only drawback, I can really recommend it. We would come back there again and again. 👍

On vacation you try out all the restaurants and today we were guests at the "Unter Deck" restaurant. Our food (schnitzel & rump steak) was served very quickly. The schnitzel was very tasty, as was the rump steak. Portions were completely sufficient to fill you up. So far everything is okay, after we ate we had to wait 25 minutes for the waitress to order a new drink. Unfortunately, after another 20 minutes, we had to come to the conclusion that we couldn't get anything liquid here. It took a while to get a waitress in front of our table, so we asked for the bill. After 10 minutes we got the bill, just under 1 hour. without drinks in hot weather is not very pleasant. It's a shame, the restaurant sounded promising because it is very nicely decorated and the waitresses were actually very friendly. Would have liked to have stayed longer, but this was not possible without being dry. Please pay more attention to the wishes of your guests.

Very nice and courteous staff. The ambience very good and comfortable. You can eat peacefully and undisturbed, since the tables are well integrated into the restaurant. The prices are just as good and the food very fresh and plentiful. Many thanks..
